Getting involved with MASSPIRG at UMB is easy. Whether you have 1 hour a week or 15 we'd love to have you on the team!
We are working on some exciting and hard hitting issues this year at MASSPIRG including expanding recycling in MA by updating our Bottle Bill, helping to reduce local poverty and homelessness, making textbooks more affordable and banning hydrofracking in MA. If you are interested in getting involved with our campaigns, taking on more leadership and gaining valuable professional skills the MASSPIRG Internship Program is for you. Our program is a flexible one that encourages students to work with their MASSPIRG campus organizer and a professor of their choice to create a project related to one of our issues. Students will have the opportunity to make a real impact on important issues, gain leadership skills in our weekly intern class, and work with other talented students as well as professional advocates, lawyers and organizers from MASSPIRG.
If you are interested in learning more about this program or more about MASSPIRG in general get in touch with your campus organizer (Emma Caldwell- firstname.lastname@example.org) and come to our first internship overview at 1:30 pm Tuesday September 3rd at our office in the Campus Center!
